It can be really nerve-wracking asking someone out on a date because they might say no. Many people worry how the other person feels but you should let them know how you feel; they might feel the same! If they do say no, at least you'll know where you stand!
If someone shows signs that they are interested in you, or they ask you out and you don’t feel the same, try to let them down gently. It takes a lot of courage for someone to tell you that they like you and rejection can often be hard to take. Think about how you would cope with rejection, so make sure you are polite.
If you do start dating, remember that communication is the key to any relationship as it leads to understanding. If there is understanding, then there will be fewer problems. Misunderstanding is a big factor in relationships that don't work out.You both will need to respect each other and talk to each other about things, even if you find it difficult or embarrassing.
Just as you should be yourself, your partner should be, too. This means that you won't agree on everything and could end up having rows. Accept that your partner has a right to their own views. You don't have to agree with those views, but you should respect them. It takes compromise to make a relationship work.
