WHCM-councelling

WHCM is a charitable voluntary organisation providing counselling services in Essex. They are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

The main work of WHCM is the provision of community based counselling services for children, young people, adults, couples and families.

WHCM's counselling service is available to anyone who feels they may benefit, over the age of 12. What sort of problems can be helped with counselling?

  • Being unhappy at school, college or work
  • The effects of childhood neglect or abuse
  • Difficulties making friends / relationships
  • Losing someone close to them
  • Serious disagreements with parents or carers
  • Anxieties about sexuality
  • Feeling depressed, suicidal or angry
  • Low self-esteem or lack of confidence

Young people aged 12 and over are welcome to contact WHCM directly about counselling. Telephone, email or call in to book an initial assessment. Contact details are shown on the WHCM website. You can choose to attend your first session alone or take someone with you for support.
