Homepage > Citizenship > Global Community
We live in one world. Our food, clothes, jobs, entertainment, health, holidays, leisure and environment link us closely with the rest of the world. The growth of international trade, travel and communications means that our lives are increasingly influenced by events in many different parts of the world.
Global education is learning about how we all fit into the world around us and what we can do to help change the world, locally, nationally and internationally. It's also about understanding that how you live your life now will have an impact on the future world you live in.
What things concern you most about the world around you? What things in the world would you most like to change? Are you worried about how we affect the environment? What do you know about free trade? How about animal rights around the world? These are all global issues you can think and talk with your friends about.
